PCA Breakfast Buddy Buffet!

Dear K-2nd Parents,

The PTO will be hosting a “Breakfast with a Buddy” event on Tuesday, May 4 from 6:45-7:30am in the cafeteria. We will open the book fair from 7-8am for you and your student to shop after you finish breakfast. The cost of breakfast is $1.35 for each child and $1.75 for each adult. Please fill out the information below and return with money to your child’s teacher by April 28, 2010. See the Menu on Chef Ward's Cafe Communique.

Attention Baseball and Softball Players: Baseball has a home game Monday, April 26th against Delmar and should be dismissed at 3:00 and Softball have an “Away” Game Monday, April 26th against Postelwaite and should be dismissed at 2:45.

Global Youth Service Day: Attention, Everyone… PCA will celebrate Global Youth Service Day on Tuesday, April 27, 2010 with special activities in the morning. Because the focus of this event is to encourage healthy after-school eating and play habits, students and staff are allowed to wear fitness clothing to school on that day.

Career Camp: Reminder 6th, 7th and 8th Students… Career Camp forms are due in Miss Grace’s mailbox by Monday, April 26, 2010. Upper School Teachers please make sure forms are passed out.

Attention All Students: Spring Leap Forms went out today! Be sure to get them back as soon as possible. Remember it is first come, first serve.

End of the Year Date Changes

Dear Parents/Guardians:

I believe that our harsh winter has finally come to an end and spring is here. Due to the severity of the winter, the date for the last day of school has been changed. PCA was closed for nine school days due to snow. Four of the nine snow days were during a State of Emergency, therefore the State of Delaware Board of Education has forgiven them, leaving five days we need to make up to complete our school day requirement. We had three contingency days built into the calendar, thus we need to add two more. The last day of school for students is now June 22, 2010 and will be a full day.

Our 8th grade graduation date has also been moved due to the snow. Graduation will be held at 7:00 PM, on Thursday, June 17, 2010.

Please continue to monitor our calendar on our website in case of other date changes.
