Today is Tuesday, October 29, 2013 and it is a A3 day for specials!!

CAFÉ FEATURES:

Breakfast: Scrambled Eggs, Sausage, Whole Wheat Toast & Assorted Fruit-$1.40

CAFÉ POSTER CONTEST:

Attention Students…Submit a Poster/Drawing that shows what you think a “Healthy” Tray should look like with a brief description. Poster/Drawing should include First and Last Name, Grade and Age. Categories Age 8 and above or Age 7 and below… PRIZES: The Top (10) Children age 8 and older will be selected to attend the “Kid Chef Program” held in Providence Creek Academy Café from Dec 2^nd-6^th2013. The Top (10) Children age 7 and below will receive a “Special” Prize. Poster/Drawing should be turned in to the Café no later than Friday, November 15, 2013. Please direct any questions to Chef Rogers.

BAND:

Beginner Clarinet 2 will meet in the band room @ 8:15

Beginner Clarinet 1 will meet in the band room @ 10:50

Beginning Clarinet 3 will meet in the band room @ 12:45

Beginner Clarinet 1 will meet in the band room @ 1:45

Concert Clarinet 2 will meet in the band room @ 2:15

SPORTS:

PCA’s Football Team has a “Home” game today, October 29, 2013 against Wilmington Friends School @ 4:00pm. Cross Country will compete at the Central Delaware Invitational on Wednesday, October 30, 2013 at Browns Branch County Park @ 3:00pm.

BASKETBALL TRY-OUTS:

Attention 6^th, 7^th, 8^thgraders interesting in trying out for basketball: Tryouts will be held Thursday, November 7^th, Friday November 8^th and Tuesday November 12^thfrom 330-530 in the gym. ALL students must have a sports physical completed in order to try out!!! There will be a sign up sheet by Mrs. Candileri’s office for all those interested in trying out. See Coach Candileri if you have any questions.

PCA BALLET:

PCA Ballet Theater will be hosting a Spirit Night at the Chick-fil-A in Dover on Tuesday, November 5th, from 5:30-7:30. You must say "Providence Creek" when you check out. Come out and enjoy some great food while supporting the Ballet Theater!

THANKSGIVING FOOD DRIVE:

Attention Students and Staff… PCA is hosting a Thanksgiving Food Drive to benefit those in our own community who could use a helping hand. Each classroom will be collecting non-perishable food items to be donated in time for Thanksgiving. The homeroom in the Lower and Upper School that has the most donations by November 22^ndwill be named the Top Class and win a classroom PARTY after Thanksgiving Break!

LEAP PROGRAMS:

Attention Students… Leap forms due date has been extended to Friday, November 1, 2013. Don’t miss out get those Leap forms turned in as soon as possible!!

SLW REGISTRATION:

Attention Students 1^st-8^thGrade… Smyrna Little Wrestlers Registration for the 2013-2014 season will be held on Friday, October 25^thfrom 6:00pm to 8:00pm in the Smyrna High School Natatorium. PICTURE MAKE-UPS:

Attention Students and Staff… Picture Make-ups will be on Friday, November 15, 2013 starting @ 12:00pm.

SILENT AUCTION AND SPAGHETTI DINNER:

Students and Staff…tickets are now on sale for the silent auction and spaghetti dinner on Friday, November 8th from 6:00-9:00 p.m. Tickets are $10.00 for adults, $7.00 for children under 12 or you may purchase the tickets in advance at $8.00 for adults and $5.00 for children under 12. All proceeds will go towards PCA athletics. If you have any questions, please see Mr. Rice.

RAFFLE TICKETS:

Students and Staff… Would you like a chance to win two tickets to an NFL football game? The PCA football team and Coach Rice will be selling raffle tickets to a Chicago Bears vs. Philadelphia Eagles and Minnesota Vikings vs. the defending Super Bowl Champion Baltimore Ravens. Cost is $5.00 per raffle ticket OR 5 tickets for $20.00. You may purchase as many tickets as you would like. The winner will receive two tickets to the game. The drawing will be held November 8th at the silent auction and spaghetti dinner. Don't miss out on your chance to win!

JEANS DAY:

Attention Students and Staff… Jeans Day with any school appropriate PINK or White shirt is tomorrow, October 30, 2013. Cost is $2.00 to participate.

POWDER PUFF FOOTBALL GAME:

PCA’s annual Powder Puff football game is on Wednesday, October 30th after school from 3:30-5:00pm. This game is open to female staff, parents and students in grades 5^th-8^th(FEMALES ONLY!!). The football team and other male students may stay after and participate as cheerleaders for the event. Male teachers, if you would like to help out with the game, that would be great. Cost is $2.00 participateand will be collected at the game. All proceeds from the game will go towards the Susan G. Komen Foundation to help fight breast cancer.

LOST AND FOUND:

Attention Students… Please check the lost and found tables located in all 3 buildings for any lost items.
