Today is Monday, October 21, 2013 and it is a A2 day for specials!!

CAFÉ FEATURES:

CAFÉ POSTER CONTEST:

Attention Students…Start Today! Submit a Poster/Drawing that shows what you think a “Healthy” Tray should look like with a brief description. Poster/Drawing should include First and Last Name, Grade and Age. Categories Age 8 and above or Age 7 and below… PRIZES: The Top (10) Children age 8 and older will be selected to attend the“Kid Chef Program” held in Providence Creek Academy Café from Dec 2-6 2013. The Top (10) Children age 7 and below will receive a “Special” Prize. Poster/Drawing should be turned in to the Café. Please direct any questions to Chef Rogers.

BAND:

Beginning Flute 2 meet in the band room @ 1:45

Concert Band Rehearsal will meet in the band room @ 2:45

SPORTS:

PCA’s Cross Country Team has an “Away” meet on Monday, October 21, 2013 against Postlethwait Middle @ 4:00pm. Volleyball has a “Home” game on Tuesday, October 22, 2013 against Mariner Middle @ 4:00pm. Football Team has a “Home” game on Thursday, October 24, 2013 against Tower Hill @ 4:00pm.

PCA's football team lost a hard fought game to Caravel yesterday. Jacob Hadik led the offense with 61 yards rushing, while Caden Naylor threw for 48 yards and added a rushing touchdown. Ke'Vonte Jackson also had 3 receptions for 43 yards that led to a touchdown. On defense, Jacob Hadik led the team with 6 tackles and 1 sack, while Brent Young and Caden Naylor both recorded 5 tackles. Adam Carter, Jack Guzman, Nick Brown also had 3 tackles on defense. PCA's next game is Thursday vs. Tower Hill.

SILENT AUCTION AND SPAGHETTI DINNER:

Students and Staff…tickets are now on sale for the silent auction and spaghetti dinner on Friday, November 8th from 6:00-9:00 p.m. Tickets are $10.00 for adults, $7.00 for children under 12 or you may purchase the tickets in advance at $8.00 for adults and $5.00 for children under 12. All proceeds will go towards PCA athletics. If you have any questions, please see Mr. Rice.

FALL BOOKFAIR:

Attention Students and Staff… Fall bookfair starts on Monday, October 21^stthrough Friday, October 25^th in the auditorium.

RAFFLE TICKETS:

Students and Staff… Would you like a chance to win two tickets to an NFL football game? The PCA football team and Coach Rice will be selling raffle tickets to a Chicago Bears vs. Philadelphia Eagles and Minnesota Vikings vs. the defending Super Bowl Champion Baltimore Ravens. Cost is $5.00 per raffle ticket OR 5 tickets for $20.00. You may purchase as many tickets as you would like. The winner will receive two tickets to the game. The drawing will be held November 8th at the silent auction and spaghetti dinner. Don't miss out on your chance to win!

DOVER SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA:

Attention Students and Staff! The Dover Symphony Orchestra will have their first performance of the 2013-2014 season on Saturday, October 19th at Calvary Assembly of God in Dover. The performance will start at 7pm. If you are interested in attending the performance, please see Mr. Hicks or Mrs. Mears.

POWDER PUFF FOOTBALL GAME:

PCA’s annual Powder Puff football game is on Wednesday, October 30th after school from 3:30-5:00pm. This game is open to female staff, parents and students in grades 5^th-8^th(FEMALES ONLY!!). The football team and other male students may stay after and participate as cheerleaders for the event. Male teachers, if you would like to help out with the game, that would be great. Cost is $2.00 participateand will be collected at the game. All proceeds from the game will go towards the Susan G. Komen Foundation to help fight breast cancer.
