Today is Wednesday, October 16, 2013 and it is a D4 day for specials!!

SPORTS:

PCA’s Volleyball Team has a “Home” game, today, October 16, 2013 against MOT Charter @ 4:00pm. Cross Country has a “Home” meet today, October 16, 2013 against MOT Charter @ 4:00pm. Football has a “Home” game, tomorrow, October 17, 2013 against Caravel Academy @ 4:00pm.

PCA’s Cross country team competed against Beacon and Smyrna last night. Both boys and girls won against Beacon with Kelsie Webb finishing in 16.42, Toni Carns closely following with a time of 16.43 and Ashley Hamilton with a time of 17.47. All of our girls reached their personal record! For the boys Justin Golden finished first for PCA with a time of 14.06 closely followed by Tamon Walker with a time of 15 minutes and Joey Grimaldi with a time if 15.38. The boys also ran an amazing race! Coaches are so proud of your accomplishment. Come support PCA at home tomorrow against MOT.

SILENT AUCTION AND SPAGHETTI DINNER:

Students and Staff…tickets are now on sale for the silent auction and spaghetti dinner on Friday, November 8th from 6:00-9:00 p.m. Tickets are $10.00 for adults, $7.00 for children under 12 or you may purchase the tickets in advance at $8.00 for adults and $5.00 for children under 12. All proceeds will go towards PCA athletics. If you have any questions, please see Mr. Rice.

RAFFLE TICKETS:

Students and Staff… Would you like a chance to win two tickets to an NFL football game? The PCA football team and Coach Rice will be selling raffle tickets to a Chicago Bears vs. Philadelphia Eagles and Minnesota Vikings vs. the defending Super Bowl Champion Baltimore Ravens. Cost is $5.00 per raffle ticket OR 5 tickets for $20.00. You may purchase as many tickets as you would like. The winner will receive two tickets to the game. The drawing will be held November 8th at the silent auction and spaghetti dinner. Don't miss out on your chance to win!

BAND:

Beginning Saxophone 1 will meet in the band room @ 8:15

Beginning Saxophone 2 will meet in the band room @ 9:15

Concert Trumpet will meet in the band room @ 10:00

Beginning Trumpet 1 will meet in the band room @ 11:10

Beginning Trumpet 2 will meet in the band room @ 12:45

Beginning Clarinet 3 will meet in the band room @ 1:45

Band Rehearsal will meet it the band room @ 2:45

DOVER SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA:

Attention Students and Staff! The Dover Symphony Orchestra will have their first performance of the 2013-2014 season on Saturday, October 19th at Calvary Assembly of God in Dover. The performance will start at 7pm. If you are interested in attending the performance, please see Mr. Hicks or Mrs. Mears.

POWDER PUFF FOOTBALL GAME:

PCA’s annual Powder Puff football game is on Wednesday, October 30th after school from 3:30-5:00pm. This game is open to female staff, parents and students in grades 6-8 (FEMALES ONLY!!). The football team and other male students may stay after and participate as cheerleaders for the event. Male teachers, if you would like to help out with the game, that would be great. Cost is $2.00 participate. All proceeds from the game will go towards the Susan G. Komen Foundation to help fight breast cancer.

JEANS DAY:

Attention Students and Staff… Jeans Day is on Friday, October 18, 2013 with any Music or Halloween school appropriate SHIRT. Cost is $3.00 to participate.
